TIB
We organise information for tomorrow's knowledge
The Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) ‒ German National Library of Science and Technology ‒ Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library is a public-law foundation of the Federal State of Lower Saxony. It assumed responsibility for operating the German National Library for technology, architecture, chemistry, information technology, mathematics and physics as well as the University Library for Leibniz Universität Hannover in 2016. As a central specialised library, it is a national infrastructure facility for the provision of scientific information whose national tasks lend it importance for the country as a whole.
TIB is a member of the Leibniz Association. Its remit is to preserve recorded knowledge and to provide the latest information for research and industry, both now and in the future, irrespective of the time and the place. The aim of TIB is to provide its customers with innovative, efficient and smooth access to data, information and knowledge, and to make large information spaces available to them in a structured, suitable manner.

Note: For suburban railway journeys involving a maximum of 3 stops, KurzstreckenTickets can be obtained from all DB and GVH ticket machines. All timetables and additional information can also be gained from the Großraum-Verkehr Hannover (GVH) website (under the section: Lines & Timetables).
Local public transport stops in the vicinity:
- Suburban railway lines 4 or 5, stop "Leibniz Universität".
- Suburban railway lines 6 or 11, stop "Christuskirche".
- Bus lines 100 / 200 ("Ringroad line"), stops "Königsworther Platz" or "Christuskirche".
By car

TIB Technik/Naturwissenschaften (Science/Technology), TIB Conti-Campus, TIB Sozialwissenschaften (Social Sciences) and TIB Geschichte7Religionswissenschaft (History/Religious Studies) are located within the low-emission zone. Only vehicles with a green (Euro 4) label may enter this zone.
